Original 28 29 30 Model A Ford folding steel luggage rack rear carrier sedan car

This listing is for an actual, original, part number 28-22128-1 Model A Ford car folding rear luggage rack/carrier.    This is the one that Mac's used to offer but they are now discontinued, when they were available they were over 0 and the side brackets on the repops were just flat stock with holes drilled in, this is an OG one with the cast iron bracketry.    However, this one is in tough shape and needs to be taken apart and restored.  Some of the pivot points are froze up, there is some brazing repair on one of the brackets and a welded up crack on one of the platforms, and at least one more spot on the platform is split and needs to be welded up, plus some straightening and further sandblasting before it can get repainted.   So it's a project.   But it's the real thing, and a worthwhile project for someone who values originality.   Was originally offered on 1928, 1929 and early 1930 models.    Could probably make it work on a 1931 but wasn't available through Ford in '31 so wouldn't be correct.   This thing weighs a ton so the shipping is what it is.
