    Description

WW2 British Army ALGHA Glasses - Spectacles
British Army Gas Mask Glasses, ALGHA Brand, Model - Monk. Good general condition, original heel. The only defect is a small pinch on one of the lenses (last picture) During the Second World War, the Algha factory was dedicated to the production of goggles for gas masks and Aviator frames for the British armed forces. After the end of World War II, the government awarded Algha a contract to manufacture and supply to British citizens. John Lennon and Queen Elizabeth II wore Algha glasses, and the well-known "round eyes" model of John Lennon was made by Algha. Algha made glasses for many celebrities, including Denzel Washington, Johnny Depp, Harrison Ford, Sean Connery, Ben Kingsley in the movie "Gandhi" and Daniel Radcliffe in the movie "Harry Potter".
